This new approach uses powerful stories written by prisoners drawing from their own experiences. Designed to look like ordinary music CDs, with strikingly illustrated full colour mini reading booklets inside, they are line-broken for easy reading. With full audio support they can be used flexibly by a new reader for independent study, to support one to one work in a Toe by Toe programme, or in group sessions to stimulate discussion, reading and writing extension activities. These CDs will appeal to beginners and reluctant readers and will help them to unlock the experience of reading for pleasure.
